Morton College CIS156 FTP Uploading Instructions

1. Obtain your student number for this course. You can refer to the master student list.
2. If your are at Morton College, click Start and Log Off to clear any sessions belonging to another student..
3. Open My Computer (click on Start, then click on My Computer)
4. Click in the Address bar near the top of the My Computer window
5. Type ftp://sn@morton156.com where n is your student number (1...32)
6. Type sn@northshorechoral.com in the User name field on the "Log on as" dialog box.
7. Type sn (where n is your studend number) as the password in the Password box. (Note - if you want to change your password, send an email to millerjw@world.oberlin.edu along with your desired password and I will make the change).
8. Please do not check "Save password"
9. Click Log on
10. A window named ftp://morton156.com appears. Use this window just as you do any other Explorer window. You can drag files and folders to this widow. When you do so, those folders and files will be copied to your personl web site.

Accessing your personal web site

After you have uploaded files to your web site, you can access them over the world wide web using Internet Explorer.

Type http://www.morton156.com/sn in the address bar of Internet Explorer where n is your student number.

For example, my student number is 3. I would type http://www.morton156.com/s3
