GSB622 - Week 8 Early Release
Week 8 has just been made available. This allows you to turn in the Short Paper and take both parts of the final exam when ever you want to. I am taking a three day weekend to attend my Father's 90th birthday in Florida from Friday October 14 through Sunday October 17 and will not be answering email or resetting quizzes during that time. Therefore, you all have an automatic extension of Week 7 Homework and Quizzes until Wednesday October 19 at 11:59 pm. There is no extension on the Week 7 Discussion deadline.
Advice
If you have questions about the final exam, see the item "Final Exam Appears Below" in Week 8.
I would advise you to do the work in the following order to maximize your grade:
- Complete the Week 7 Discussion. There is no extension on the October 16 deadline and this is the first item due.
- Do the Week 7 Homework. It's a fairly easy 14 points and the last question will help you with your Short Paper if your paper is not already almost done. If your paper is almost done, the second question will be a very easy 5 points.
- Do the Week 7 Quiz. The Chapters covered on the Week 7 Quiz are also covered in the Final Exam.
- Do the Week 8 Final Exam Part A. It's worth 24 points and takes less time that Part B
- Do the Week 8 Final Exam Part B. It's worth 24 points -- that's 4 points more than the Short Paper.
- Do the Ethics Lecture Quiz if you attended the Ethics Lecture. This Quiz does not take long.
- Submit your Short Paper.
- (optional). Give me a break and submit some of your work before October 23 at 11:59pm. I am counting on this in order to finish the grading on time.
- Calculate very carefully if you are thinking about not doing the Short Paper. The Per Cent information in the Grade Book only reflects work that you have attempted. For example, suppose this course were had 200 points including 20 points for the Short Paper which you have not started. Further supposed that you have 180 out of 180 on the work you have completed. The Per Cent would show 100% because you have scored perfectly (180/180) on the work you have attempted so far. However, if you skip the paper, I will enter a zero out of 20 during the final grading and your final percentage will be 90% (180/200).
