Welcome to BAD220 Online - Spring 2014

Welcome to the online version of BAD220 - Advanced Business Applications. This course officially starts on January 8, 2014. I expect you to visit this course in Canvas every 2-3 days starting on or before January 8 and continuing until you complete the Final Exam before May 1, 2014. You will find all lectures (videos), assignments, discussions and exams for this course in Canvas.

There are advantages to taking this course online. You can do the work in this course at anytime of the day and on your schedule. You can attend "lectures" on your schedule. However, you must complete all assignments and Discussions before they are due.

You can find all information you need in Canvas. When you log into this course in Canvas you will notice that you have several deliverables due before January 14. In order to create these deliverables you will need immediate access to Microsoft Excel 2010. Details can be found in Module 1 in Canvas. How to win: Get ahead of schedule

It is possible to complete all your assignments early - up to two weeks early! You will "win" in this course if you complete your assignments and discussions on schedule. The way to do that is to log in to Canvas at the beginning of each Unit (See Class Schedule) and complete your work in the first four days of each Unit. This will avoid feeling pressure near the end of the Unit. You can relieve pressure in other classes by working ahead in this class. You can then "fall back" to the normal schedule in this class in order to make time available for other classes.
